THE PILOT ELECTED TO CONTINUE WITH HIS PLANNED PERSONAL FLIGHT. WHILE ON FINAL TO A 2,200 FOOT RUNWAY, SURROUNDED BY 35 FOOT TREES, THE PILOT EXPERIENCED A DOWNDRAFT, FORCING THE AIRPLANE INTO THE TREES.
