THE PRIVATE PILOT WAS PREPARING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 36. HE LATER REPORTED THAT SURFACE WINDS WERE FROM 310 DEGREES AT 16 KNOTS, GUSTING TO 25 KNOTS. HE ALSO REPORTED USING RIGHT AILERON,RIGHT RUDDER, AND ZERO FLAPS ON FINAL. HE ENCOUNTERED WIND GUSTS ON SHORT FINAL, AND EXECUTED A GO-AROUND. THE AIRPLANE COLLIDED WITH TREES AND A FENCE BEFORE IMPACTING THE TERRAIN INVERTED. NO EVIDENCE OF MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION WAS REPORTED OR FOUND. THE PILOT'S TOTAL FLYING TIME WAS 116 HOURS, INCLUDING 35 HOURS AS PILOT-INCOMMAND.
THE PILOT'S IMPROPER COMPENSATION FOR THE WIND CONDITIONS. THE GUSTY CROSSWIND WAS A FACTOR IN THE ACCIDENT.
