On August 9, 1999, at 1837 eastern standard time, a Cessna 152, N4611P, operated by Don Davis Aviation, was substantially damaged during a forced landing in a field after the airplane had run out of fuel. The 14 CFR Part 91 flight had departed Evansville Regional Airport, Evansville, Indiana, on a local instructional flight. The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) was not injured. The student pilot received minor injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan was filed.
