The pilot reported, 'I landed in a agricultural field next to my house. Near the end of my roll out a wheel sunk into a soft spot. I was unable to keep the tail down and the aircraft flipped on to it[s] back.'
On July 13, 2000, at 1630 central daylight time, a Cessna 140, N76427, operated by a private pilot, was substantially damaged during a loss of control and subsequent nose over following a landing in an agricultural field near St. Francis, Minnesota. The flight was operating under the provisions of 14 CFR Part 91, and was not operating on a flight plan. The pilot reported no injures.
