Analysis

DURING A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT, THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A LANDING AT AN UNCONTROLLED AIRSTRIP. SEVERAL INDENTATIONS ON THE GROUND INDICATE THAT THE AIRPLANE TOUCHED DOWN AND BOUNCED. THE AIRPLANE BECAME AIRBORNE AND COLLIDED WITH TREES AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THERE WERE NO REPORTED MECHANICAL FAILURES OR MALFUNCTIONS.

Probable Cause and Findings

AN INADEQUATE RECOVERY FROM A BOUNCED LANDING AND INADEQUATE CLEARANCE TO AVOID COLLIDING WITH TREES.
