THE PLT STATED THAT DURING DESCENT HE USED 'LEFT WING DOWN, NOSE YAWED RIGHT, SLIPPING.' THE FUEL SELECTOR WAS POSITIONED TO THE LEFT FUEL TANK. A THOUSAND FLT SLIP THE ACFT ENGINE LOST POWER. DURING THE EMERGENCY CORRECTIVE ACTIONTHE PLT DID NOT USE THE BOOST PUMP. THE BOOST PUMP IS NECESSARY FOR RESTART WHEN FUEL PRESSURE IS INTERUPPTED.
