THE PILOT STATED THAT WHILE FLYING APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE AIRPORT OVER THE OCEAN THE ENGINE STARTED TO VIBRATE. THE PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO THE AIRPORT HOWEVER.
