The pilot stated that he lost directional control while landing. Subsequently, the airplane ground-looped and nosed over. The pilot stated that the wind was not a factor in the loss of directional control.

Factual Information

The pilot stated he lost directional control while landing on runway 12. Subsequently, the airplane ground-looped and nosed over. The pilot stated that the wind was not a factor in the loss of directional control. The pilot sustained minor injuries and passenger was not injured. Examination of the airplane revealed the vertical stabilizer was bent.

Probable Cause and Findings

the pilot's failure to maintain directional control during the landing, resulting in a ground loop.
