Factual Information

On December 6, 2007, at 1308 central standard time, a Cessna 210, XB-GTS, serial number 21057478, was destroyed upon impact with mountainous terrain in the area of Mesa de las Tablas, approximately 26 nautical miles southeast of Arteaga, Coahuila, Mexico. The private pilot sustained fatal injuries. The flight originated from Uruapan International Airport, near Uraupan, Michoacan, destined for Del Norte International Airport, near Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. The airplane was reported to have a 260 horsepower Teledyne Continental Motors IO-470-E engine driving a McCauley D2A36C33 propeller. The accident investigation is under the control and supervision of the Government of the Republic of Mexico.
