Analysis

The pilot stated that during landing on runway 22, the airplane encountered a gust of wind that lifted the left wing. The airplane then veered to the right. The right main landing gear collapsed and the right wing contacted the runway, resulting in substantial damage to the right wing. The pilot reported that there were no mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
