Factual Information

On August 11, 2012 about 1136 UTC, A2-ABF, British Aerospace BAe 146-199, a scheduled commerical flight, operated by Air Botswana, after a loss of power in the no. 2 engine, aborted takeoff at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, Gaborone, Botswana. There were no injuries to the 4 crew and 28 passengers. The flight was destined for Johannesburg, South Africa. The Directorate of Accident Investigation (DAI), Botswana Ministry of Tranpsort and Communication. has instituted an investigation. As the State of manufacture of the engine, a US Accredited Representative has been appointed for the investigation.
