Factual Information

On 17 May, 2013, at about 0703 UTC, a B757-200, registration G-OOBE, operated by Thomson Airways, was on approach and cleared to land at Reus Airport (LERS), Spain, was forced to perform a go-around due to a Diamond DA20, registration EC-IIT, that was present on the runway. The airplane performed the go-around and landed normally. The incident is being investigated by the CIAIAC of Spain. The NTSB has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative as the state of manufacture of the incident aircraft under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13.
