Factual Information

On March 29, 2014, at 1000 universal coordinated time, a Piper model PA-38-112, Hungarian registration HA-APW, serial number 3879A0512, sustained substantial damage when the right main landing gear collapsed while taxiing at the Szombathely Airport, near Szombathely, Hungary. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The airplane was registered to and operated by Hungarian Aircraft Technology & Service located in Fertoszentmiklós, Hungary. Day visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the local flight. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Hungarian Government.
