CESSNA T207 - A
On December 24, 2014, about 1950 UTC, a Cessna T207A, HK4892, collided with mountainous terrain near Vereda Cabreras, Punto el Guanabanazo, Pescadero Piedecuesta, Santander, Colombia. The commercial pilot and six passengers were fatally injured. The airplane was destroyed by impact forces, and was registered to and operated by Aerolineas Alas De Colombia LTDA, on a non-scheduled, domestic, passenger flight. Weather conditions at the accident site were not reported, although visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time at the departure airport. The flight originated about 1939 UTC, from Palonegro International Airport (SKBG), Lebrija, Santander, Colombia, and was destined for Malaga Airport (SKLA), Malaga, Santander, Colombia. After takeoff the flight proceeded according to the VFR flight plan towards the destination airport which is located approximately 36 nautical miles and 133 degrees from the departure airport. The airplane did not arrive at its intended destination, and search and rescue operations were performed. The airplane impacted mountainous terrain; there was no postcrash fire.
