Airbus A321
On February 26, 2020, an Airbus A321-211, powered by two CFM International CFM56-5B3/3 turbofan engines experienced a left (No. 1) engine surge on departure from London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and an ECAM alert for the right engine (No. 2) stall condition. The airplane returned to LGW for an uneventful landings. The United Kingdom Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) has opened an Annex 13 investigation and the National Transportation Safety board is participating as the State of Manufacturer for the engine.
